Emma and Ed held their intimate wedding at Loch Ness Lodge, on the shores of Loch Ness near Inverness. Emma had contacted me a few months before the wedding and I was really excited because Loch Ness Lodge is a beautiful house, in a beautiful location and owners Scott and Iona Sutherland, and their dad Calum, do such a brilliant job of hosting their guests. I had first shot there a couple of years ago – just an evening reception – so I was really excited to be able to return for an actual wedding.
It was a lovely day for the drive through to the Lodge and when I arrive, Emma was getting ready with her mum Doreen, and her sister in law, Elizabeth. Spirits were high although timing was slightly off by 10 or 15 minutes, but hey, it’s a bride’s perogative, right?!
Spud the Piper did the honours, piping Emma and her dad down the little aisle to meet her new husband, and the ceremony was wonderfully conducted by Inverness registrar , and as soon as the deal was sealed everyone stepped outside into the glorious afternoon sunshine to enjoy a wee drink of champagne and some absolutely incredible canapes. (I know they were incredible because I tried some!)
I whisked the happy couple down into the stunning gardens below the lodge, and then down to the banks of Loch Ness, and we got some amazing images (and rather a lot of them kissing!) Here are a few of my favourites – I hope you like them.
