Kingsmills Hotel Wedding
Sam and Chris had their Kingsmills Hotel Wedding on 24th August last year and it was a fantastic day, starting at Sam’s parent’s house, where she was getting ready with her four bridesmaids – Kim, Michelle, Hannah and Helen. There was a lot of giggling and eating of cupcakes before the serious business of hair and make up got started. Once the preliminary getting ready was done, we all travelled to a gorgeous room in the Kingsmills Spa, overlooking the golf course, where Sam got her beautiful dress and veil on before walking across the courtyard to the hotel proper, where the ceremony was taking place.
The weather was kind, it was dry and quite sunny, and Chris was waiting patiently for his beautiful bride to arrive. After the ceremony, which included a reading by both Sam’s mum, Lynette and Chris’s dad Gordon, everyone went outside into the garden to enjoy champagne in the sun while I took the newlyweds on a little wander to do their bride and groom session.
The speeches took place before the meal and then after a delicious wedding breakfast, everyone took to the dance floor – the highlight of the night was Sam’s ‘special’ dance, the story of which her dad had told everyone during his speech; really has to be seen to be believed so if you know Sam, ask her about it!
Here are some of my favourite shots from the day.
